Here’s a bit about my journey and expertise:
Educational Background
I hold a BSc in Business Studies and an MSc in Banking and Finance.
My formal education has given me a keen curiosity and the ability to make mundane topics more digestible.
Areas of Focus
On CurbSugar.com, I focus on:
- Fitness and Lifestyle
- Nutrition
- Nutritional Supplements
Personal Journey
At age 40, I decided to change my diet and lifestyle significantly.
Concerned about my pot belly (and the harmful effects of visceral fat around my abdominal cavity and organs), I increased my vegetable intake and reduced simple carbs like bread and white rice.
I also eventually incorporated intermittent fasting, resistance training, and high-intensity interval training, which helped me achieve excellent results.
These changes helped me stay fast and lean as I approached my mid-50s.
Blogging Experience
Since 2008, I have created successful educational, health, and wellness websites.
I am happy to share my insights and the information I gather regarding health with you.
Research and Verification
I am committed to providing accurate and reliable information.
I support my contentions on this blog and in email messages with links to scientific journal databases such as PubMed, ScienceDirect, and other reputable health websites when appropriate.
Commitment to Learning
I am dedicated to continuing to learn more about health and wellness.
I regularly add content to this site that I hope will provide health-improving nuggets you may not have known about.
Personal Health Transformation
I have significantly improved my body composition and health using some of the information I shared on this site.
I transformed my body from 90 kg at 6 feet 1 with a pot belly at age 39 to a lean and muscular 80 kg frame at age 53.
Hypertension runs in my family, and I am pleased that my blood pressure has decreased from an average of 135/78 in my mid-40s to 118/75 in my early 50s.
Philosophy on Health and Wellness
My physical and mental health are my greatest assets.
With these assets, I believe I am in the best position to overcome the challenges in my life.
That is why my motto is “Achieve Health, Defy Limits!”
